Gambols of Fior
A downloadable supplement
The slowing of the ghost train leaves a sudden smile behind your lips. “It’s good to be here.” The station isn’t crowded, and the few spirits standing around wait eagerly for the next train into the city. The station is made of stone, and built into a large mossy bridge of the same material.
The Gambols of Fior is both a map and random set of tables, describing the small pastoral land of Fior - a land of will-o'-the-wisps, leech-people, salamancers, train stations, old witches, ancient rain gods, and small dogs. It is designed to be a lovely spot to stop during a journey, a great place to run a session of a campaign that needs a break.
The Gambols of Fior are based on the author's childhood running around on a big hippie commune they'd visit in the woods. It's also inspired by Miyazaki movies such as Kiki's Delivery Service and My Neighbor Totoro. It's a personal and nonviolent approach to OSR design, and is this author's #SWORDDREAM.
The Gambols of Fior is entirely system-neutral, and is compatible with all editions of Dungeons & Dragons, along with Pathfinder or any other fantasy property.
All funds raised through this game help the author survive and make rent each month.
